| WILLCOM Introduces Roaming Services in Vietnam
|
WILLCOM and WILLCOM OKINAWA are pleased to announce PHS international roaming services in Hanoi, Vietnam, though an agreement with Hanoi Telecommunications, a PHS (Cityphone) communications carrier in Vietnam. The new service will start on August 21, 2008.
International roaming service makes it possible for customers to use their WILLCOM handsets and data communication cards* at overseas destinations, applying in advance to the WILLCOM Service Center by phone. Following Taiwan and Thailand, Vietnam will become the third area where WILLCOM’s international roaming service is available.
In commemoration of the service launch in Vietnam, the basic fee when using handsets in Vietnam will be waived between August 21, 2008, and January 31, 2009.
The PHS communication technology developed in Japan is spreading beyond Japan to the world. WILLCOM will make the most of the merits of PHS – high sound quality, low energy consumption, and safety and peace of mind – and will continue to introduce PHS in a growing number of areas throughout the world.
* It is necessary to have a handset or data communication card that is compatible with the destination country.
