WILLCOM Partners with Sharp and Microsoft to Launch W-ZERO3 [es] Mobile combines dual keyboard and industry-first 2.8 VGA
high definition mobile ASV LCD with refined shape and superb quality

WILLCOM Inc., Sharp Corporation and Microsoft Corporation have announced the launch of W-ZERO3 [es], a mobile that includes an industry-first(*1) 2.8 VGA (640 x 480 dots) high definition mobile ASV LCD and other advanced devices, and uses the MicrosoftR Windows MobileR 5.0 (Japanese version) OS. Combining the portability of mobile phones and convenience of personal computers, the W-ZERO3 [es](*2), jointly developed by the three companies, will be available from WILLCOM beginning July 27, 2006.
The W-ZERO3 [es] is a new category of W-ZERO3, which has been well received since its launch last December. W-ZERO3 products are especially designed for customers who seek big-screen LCD, superb functions, and a the capabilities of personal computers, while also catering to customers who seek functions found in mobile phones, such as smart operations and high mobility.
The W-ZERO3 [es] comes equipped with two types of keying systems, the dial key or 'thumbwheel' found in mobile phones and the QWERTY(*3) keyboard used with personal computers. Also, with a built-in 2.8VGA high definition mobile ASV LCD, a first for the industry, users can look forward to clear images not only when browsing the Internet or e-mailing but also when using ExcelR, Word, PowerPointR and other PC applications. It also enables users to find correct kanji in fewer steps with the character anticipation function 'ATOK'(*4), thus improving the convenience of inputting text with either one or both hands. There are also various other functions such as the USB host(*5), which enables users to connect to PC peripherals, making it a convenient device for the mobile scene.
The W-ZERO3 [es] is also compatible with the ultra-small wireless communication module, 'W-SIM'. By subscribing to WILLCOM's fixed-rate audio service 'WILLCOM Fixed-rate Plan' or Internet service 'Fixed-rate Data Communications', users can take advantage of high audio quality when making phone calls and using e-mail or the Internet without having to worry about the charges.
The W-ZERO3 [es] merges WILLCOM's fixed-rate services, Microsoft's superb software and Sharp's high quality hardware, and is a powerful mobile tool for personal as well as corporate users. In accordance with the launch of W-ZERO3 [es], Microsoft has also used the know-how from W-ZERO3 to provide optimization and technological support for its Windows Mobile 5.0 software.
After the launch, the three companies intend to cooperate on sales campaigns aimed at corporations and business consumers, and continue to develop new terminals for mobile solutions and expand the market for terminals that integrate multiple methods of communication.

| W-ZERO3 [es] Primary Features |

The W-ZERO3 [es] comes equipped with a dial key (thumbwheel) that enables users to type with ease using only one hand, as well as a QWERTY key dual keyboard, enabling users to type long sentences smoothly. The Japanese text input system 'ATOK' supports character identification, making typing in Japanese more convenient. Users can switch typing methods according to their needs - numbers and short mails can be typed quickly and conveniently as with a mobile phone, while long mails and documents can be typed easily with both hands by using the QWERTY keyboard.

| 2. Industry-first 2.8 VGA (640 x 480 dots) high definition mobile ASV LCD |

Improving on the high quality display of mobile ASV LCD, the W-ZERO3 [es] comes with a high definition display using 2.8 VGA (640 x 480 dots), enabling a quadruple increase in definition when compared to the average mobile phone (QVGA: 320 x 240 dots).

3. Stylish, easy-to-hold design |
|
The dimples found on the surface give the device a sense of quality and make the W-ZERO3 [es] easy to hold. In addition, it also has a slim and stylish design, at approximately 56mm wide.

4. Compatibility with USB host functions and peripheral devices |
|
The W-ZERO3 [es] is compatible with USB host functions and can be connected to USB keyboards and USB memory generally used with desktop or laptop computers, and to digital cameras (*6). Compatibility with specialized peripherals such as one-seg tuners, wireless LAN, Bluetooth and printers is also under consideration.

5. WindowsMobile5.0 MSFP(*7) |
|
A successor to Japan's first MSFP-compatible device, the W-ZERO3 (WS004SH), the W-ZERO3 [es] is Japan's second such device and supports corporate mobile solutions with functions such as 'push' style e-mail, which enables the automatic receipt of messages, and remote message deletion.

With Opera's proprietary technology, users can browse websites as if they were using personal computers and update blogs or trade online* in real time. Compatible with FlashPlayer7.0, users can also enjoy rich animated content.

7. 'W-ZERO3 Mail' original mail software |
|
Original mail software 'W-ZERO3 Mail' enables access to personal e-mail accounts, allowing users to send and receive e-mail even when they are not at their computers. Users can also access multiple accounts and receive mail sent to these accounts at the same time. In addition, functions such as automatic sorting of mail (POP/SMTP) and protection of important messages provide full support for mobile mailing.
