DDI POCKET, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Takeo Yamashita) hereby announces that it will change its name (trade name) to WILLCOM, Inc. on February 1, 2005.
DDI Pocket entered into a new capital structure on October 1, 2004 in which The Carlyle Group is the largest shareholder. The new company name evokes our will to succeed in the wireless telecommunications business and to establish a new corporate brand.

New corporate name (new trade name): WILLCOM, Inc.
Corporate brand: WILLCOM
Date on which change will take effect: February 1, 2005 (provisional) |

The "WILL" in "WILLCOM" stands for "Wireless IP Local Loop", the network that the company is striving to achieve, and also epitomizes our "will" to provide amenable and convenient telecommunication services. The name also symbolizes our intention (the future tense "will") to achieve wireless communication services for the future through wireless communication. We will establish our new corporate logo by applying it in a variety of media formats from February 2005.
We will strive to raise customer satisfaction even further with the dedicated efforts and delight in taking on challenges that has been integral to our company's ethos since its founding. This will contribute to the creation of a convenient, secure and safe society.
We ask for your continued support. |
