to AirH" Service Exceeds 1 million |
Tokyo,
April 15, 2004 -- DDI POCKET Inc. is pleased to announce
that subscribers of the AirH" data communications service
exceeded 1 million as of April 14, 2004. Since launching
the service in June 2001, DDI POCKET has steadily expanded
service area and improved throughput performance, and
this customer milestone is a reflection of the increasing
convenience and cost effectiveness that the AirH" wireless
communication network provides.
DDI POCKET provides various services, including a data
compression functionality that speeds up internet connectivity
and functionality, increasing customer satisfaction. DDI
POCKET has also introduced various fee plans and discount
services for customers to choose between, including the
"Tsunagi Hodai" fixed rate service with unlimited access
time, the "Net 25" service which includes fixed monthly
communications fees for up to 25 hours usage, and the
"A&B Wari (A&B discount service)", which offers a 15%
discount* on basic monthly fees when utilized with a participating
ISP's broadband service set.
DDI POCKET will offer further features and services that
will further improve convenience and functionality for
customers, and will continue to work to make the wireless
communications environment more comfortable and effective.
* DDI POCKET is currently running a campaign which expands
the discount rate to 25% through May 31st, 2004. |
